Frogans technology overview

Frogans technology is a unique and standard technology which is used for publishing a new generation of content on the Internet, called frogans sites.

Frogans sites can be published by anybody, in any language all over the world, whether they are individuals or organizations.

Terminology

Frogans technology introduces the following terminology:

FSDL	language used for developing frogans sites (Frogans Slide Description Language)
frogans network	virtual network established on the Internet or on an intranet for publishing frogans sites
frogans address	address of a frogans site published on a frogans network; frogans addresses have a specific format
FNSL	language used for creating frogans networks (Frogans Network System Language)
Frogans Player	software used by end-users to open and navigate frogans sites

The principal frogans network on the Internet is called the main frogans network, where frogans addresses start with "frogans*". Anyone can publish frogans sites on the main frogans network.

A layer of the Internet

Frogans technology is an application layer of the Internet, as are the World Wide Web, Email, Instant Messaging and Newsgroups.

From a technical perspective, Frogans technology is independent, global and universal:

Frogans technology has a publishing format that is independent from the content itself (FSDL)
Frogans technology has an addressing system that is able to address an unlimited number of content (FNSL)
Frogans technology's navigation software is cross-platform (Frogans Player)
Frogans technology has incoming and outgoing gateways with the other layers of the Internet (frogans short-cuts, hyperlinks)

Frogans technology uses industry standards for the hosting of content (HTTP servers, XML format, Unicode).

The four pillars of Frogans technology

FSDL, FNSL, Frogans Player and Frogans software libraries are the four pillars of Frogans technology:

FSDL:
- FSDL is used to develop frogans sites
- FSDL is XML-based
- FSDL is specified with the precision of an Internet standard (in the format of an RFC from IETF

- download and use of Frogans Player are free of charge and require no registration
Frogans Software Libraries:
- Frogans software libraries are cross-platform components of Frogans Player for rendering and parsing FSDL and FNSL documents
- they allow third-party applications to preview frogans slides from FSDL documents identically to Frogans Player
- they can be used for the development of frogans site authoring tools and hosting services
- written in C, they can be interfaced with any HTTP server (PHP, .NET, Java...)
- use of Frogans software libraries is free of charge and requires no registration
